Smudge Free was founded by Andrew Stassi in 2003. Since entering the industry, Andrew has trained with the highest accredited educators, pioneers and manufacturers in the field and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has been awarded an array of qualifications and, due to his high standards and in-depth knowledge, he currently holds training and distribution rights from two of the world’s most respected companies in this field. Andrew has developed and mastered techniques which have proved over the years to give a more realistic and aesthetically pleasing result, and this can be evidenced by testimonials and references from both clients and students alike. He is a consultant to HABIA for a 3rd term for micropigmentation and is accredited by them. HABIA is a governing body setting occupational standards for the hair and beauty industry within the UK and Europe.

Founder
Andrew is recognised as one of the UK’s leading authorities in micropigmentation, (aka semi-permanent makeup) and medical tattooing with over 20 years experience.
Andrew began his micropigmentation journey in 2003 and after having completed many courses he then went down the path of becoming a trainer after gaining a trainers’ licence by leading European and world renowned Ecuri Cosmetics from the Netherlands. He is internationally recognised as one of the industry’s leading authorities in micropigmentation. Andrew was asked to write the judging criteria for Micropigmentation UK, which was one of the most successful events for Micropigmentation for several years which attracted delegates from all over the world. He has also been a guest speaker at London’s Olympia Beauty, one of the most successful beauty events which is globally recognised and also a judge and speaker on the ‘Expert Panel’ at Micropigmentation UK.
Andrew’s aspiration and thirst for knowledge in the anti-ageing industry led him to train in advanced facial aesthetics, and he began offering dermal filler injections in 2007, followed by mesotherapy, microneedling and muscle relaxing injections (Botox).
Andrew is fully insured and licensed as a practionioner and trainer. He is one of five consultants in England to Habia, forming part of the Expert Working Group. He was instrumental in re-writing the Occupational Standards for micropigmentation to bring them inline with current regulations and guidelines. He regularly consults with the licensing departments and local authorities regarding the micropigmentation occupational guidelines.
He ran his very successful Harley Street practice for over 10 years alongside his Crouch End practice which started in 2003. The brand grew from strength to strength and was an exhibitor at all the major beauty events from Olympia Beauty, Professional Beauty Excel, Beauty North and the Midlands.

Pioneer Development
A pioneer in his own right, Andrew is now in the process of developing a range of equipment for the micropigmentation industry to include needles, digital machines, hand pieces and pigments, to be launched in the near future.
Leading Industry Trainer
In 2004, Andrew began to train other technicians in the art of Semi-permanent makeup and he is internationally recognised as one of the industry’s leading trainers. The training courses are accredited by iSURE at Lloyds and recognised by other leading insurers.
His critical eye for detail and artistic flair have led to him being asked to regularly contribute articles to industry publications, as well as to the national press and high-end glossy magazines. He has also made TV appearances on the subject.
