Tailored & Refresher Training

Course Outline

Specialised can be tailored to your exacting requirements. Some technicians only wish to specialise in a particular area and we can focus on delivering the best training for your choice of procedure(s).

If you are a beginner, you will still have to enrol on the beginner’s course but the days will be dedicated to specialising in more of the techniques for your chosen procedure(s).

As a beginner you will be supplied with your digital machine, precision handpiece and your starter kit with the relative pigments for your procedure(s) i.e, if you are specialising in eyebrows you will then be able to choose your eyebrow pigments.

If you are a practising technician and wish to update your equipment to the latest technology and to advance and improve your skills, then the refresher course is for you. This course is run over a 2-day period and we will concentrate on the areas where you feel you need to build your confidence. Eyebrows in hair simulation is undoubtedly the most requested semi-permanent cosmetics procedure, so it makes sense that you specialise in these techniques so you can offer the best possible treatment to your clients.

Andrew Stassi has developed techniques over the years which result in the most natural-looking eyebrows for men and women. Using various needle configurations you will be trained to perform these procedures with ease by one of the highest acclaimed trainers in the semi-permanent cosmetics industry.

What Does The Course Cover?

As a beginner, you will learn all the basics in micropigmentation. Our four-day intensive training course is on a one-to-one basis. You will learn everything you need to know, from assessing your client’s needs at the initial consultation to carrying out successful procedures in the following; Eyebrows, Lip-line and Shading, Beauty Mark, Eyeliner and Lash-line Enhancement.

• Client medical history and release forms
• Contra-indications
• Basic colour theory
• Setting up of equipment, sterilisation and hygiene

• The use of various anaesthetics

• Before and after pictures
• Demonstration of procedures
• After-care guidelines
• A guide to marketing strategies

Course Fees

The fee is £1,900 with an £800 non-refundable deposit to secure your space and the balance is paid within 14 days. On receiving your deposit, we will then send you your home study training manual which outlines what the course entails right through to health and safety.

Training Day 1

• Eyebrow Techniques Theory in semi-permanent cosmetics
• How to conduct a consultation
• How to fill out medical history and release forms, and understanding their importance
• Setting up of equipment
• Sanitation and sterilisation before equipment use
• Machine controls, hand-piece and needle adjustment
• Learning different eyebrow techniques on simulated skin material
• Observing treatments by Andrew Stassi or a Smudge-free trainer
• Live models for eyebrow procedure

Training Day 2

• Lip Techniques Lip technique practise
• Colour theory
• Morphology of the face
• Face shapes and settings
• Understanding skin-tones and under-tones
• A guide to colour mixing, warming and cooling
• Photography
• Preparation of client for lip procedures
• Adjustment of asymmetrical lips
• Choosing the correct colour
• Practise on live models
• Observing correct gripping technique

• Preparing client for lash-line procedure

• Learning correct eyeliner and lash-line gripping techniques

*Day 3 will be scheduled only when you have independently completed five case studies of each discipline in eyebrows and lips, to ensure you have gained sufficient experience in recognising needle depth.
