How do lip colouring procedures work?

Lipliner tattooing, micropigmentation or semi-permanent lip colouring is an advanced form of tattooing. The treatment is carried out using a high-tech device to introduce pharmaceutical grade pigments carefully and accurately in the upper layers of the skin. The pigments once healed will result in a long-lasting effect that will remain perfect from one to three years. The visual effects of your lip enhancement can be ‘barely there’ for that natural every day look or bold as you wish. The colour pigments will be custom blended to your requirements before the process begins. We will create the perfect look for you in a treatment that takes about an hour and 30 minutes.

What will I expect in my consultation and treatment?

During your consultation your lip enhancement will begin by creating the perfect lips for you by carefully drawing the outline and correcting any asymmetry. Your colour palette and choice of pigments will be custom blended prior to the procedure. The strength of colours, be it nude or a deep blush can all be applied using the latest in digital technology, along with the finest pharmaceutical grade pigments manufactured in Germany. Before and after photographs will be taken and you will be required by law to fill in your consent forms according to current legislation and guidelines.

For your safety we only use single-use consumables and we are Covid-19 compliant. The procedure will take approximately one hour 30 minutes including the application of a topical anaesthetic cream for 20 minutes. Some elements of swelling are perfectly normal and may last a day or two. If you suffer with cold sores you can apply acyclovir five days before and five days after the procedure in order to prevent a herpes outbreak. No treatment will be carried out if an active lesion is present.
